A source from the hospital told our correspondent that the building
being used by members of the Senior Staff Association at the facility
was also razed by the fire.
“The heavy fire razed the building which was being used by the ARD as
a Welfare Scheme and business units inside the federal hospital. Lots
of properties were burnt into ashes, including photocopy machines, air
conditioners, electronics and some very important files.
“The late night fire started around 11 on Sunday night and caused a
panic among the people in the hospital, as they were very afraid of the
heavy inferno. In fact, the firefighters could not get to the hospital
on time, but as a result of self-help, we were able to ensure that the
fire did not extend to other buildings,” the source said.
Sammynews4u gathered that the burnt building also housed the hospital’s printing press.
A management staff of the hospital also confirmed the fire incident in a telephone phone chat with our correspondent.
The staff, who pleaded anonymity, revealed that properties worth millions of naira were lost to the late night fire.

reception area with properties worth millions of naira gone to the heavy
fire,” he revealed.
